Detectives are investigating after a convenience store was robbed this afternoon at Wavell Heights.
Shortly before 4.30pm a man attended the Newman Road business and threatened a female staff member with a knife.
The man demanded cash but the employee refused and the man left the store.
The staff member, a woman in her 40s, was not physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30s and around 182cm tall with thick black hair and facial stubble. He was wearing a blue jumper and grey tracksuit pants.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or people with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision to contact police.
