On Saturday November 10, the Zillmere PCYC hosted the ‘Bringing Cultures Together’ community event with the help of the QPS and the Hindu Society of Queensland.
The event was a huge success with over 200 members of the community coming together to enjoy performances from Bhangra Dances, Dancing Souls and Bhangra United. There was so much colour, music and energy in the room!
The community also had the opportunity to hear presentations from Cornerstone Law Office on Wills and Power of Attorney and White Ribbon Australia on Domestic and Family Violence.
Alongside all of this, the QPS hosted an open Q&A with members of the community. Police were thrilled by the questions asked and really enjoyed this opportunity to connect with the community.
The event concluded with a feast of delicious food prepared by the Temple and Gurudwara – we’re sure mouths are still salivating after their successful catering!
We are looking forward to next
