Police have charged a man following an emergency situation that occurred in Windsor yesterday morning.
At around 4:00am police attended a unit complex on Newmarket Road following a noise complaint.
An emergency declaration was made at 5:57am after the man, who was allegedly armed with a replica handgun, refused to leave the building.
It will be further alleged the man pointed the replica handgun at officers.
The emergency situation was revoked at 8:43am after a 42-year-old man was taken into custody by police at 8:08am.
No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.
A 42-year-old Windsor man has been charged with two counts of serious assault of a police officer whilst pretending to be armed and one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon, possessing utensils or pipes, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime and failing to comply with a noise abatement order.
He is due to appear in Brisbane
