Attempted robbery, Aspley

Police are investigating the attempted robbery of a taxi driver in Aspley last night.
Around 8:45pm, the 38-year-old male driver attended an address on Robinson Road West to pick up a fare with two passengers.
On arrival, he exited the vehicle to put up the third row of seats and while adjusting the seat, one of the passengers struck him in the head with a wine bottle.
The second passenger entered the driver’s seat however, the driver managed to removed him before both passengers fled.
Both men are described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance around 170cms, slim builds and aged between 20-25 years.
The taxi driver sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
