Not just Santa sneaking into North Brisbane homes
In recent days there have been a number of houses across North Brisbane which have been targeted by thieves. While some offenders use force to gain entry there are a great portion of the offences that are ‘sneak’ breaks.
In a ‘sneak’ break the offender simply takes the opportunity of unlocked doors to gain entry. In some cases they are also pushing a hole through the mesh of a security screen door which then allows them to reach through and unlock the nib.
Locked doors will keep thieves out…not Santa
While the weather is hot we do not suggest residents lock themselves away in the heat, but we strongly encourage the use of security screens. For a security screen to be most effective it needs to be key locked and the key removed.
We promise that Santa can still make it in while you keep the offenders locked out!
