Three Queensland police officers were announced this afternoon as the QBANK 2017 Everyday Heroes Awards winners.
The QBANK Everyday Heroes Awards is designed to recognise those who have made an outstanding contribution to the Queensland community. Eight of the 18 selected finalists were from the QPS.
Acting Commissioner Brett Pointing said the annual event provided a chance to acknowledge and thank those who dedicate their lives to making Queensland a safer community.
“I would like to congratulate those who have truly gone above and beyond both their professional and personal obligations to protect Queensland communities,” Acting Commissioner Pointing said.
“All nominees displayed an outstanding amount of courage, dedication and leadership and each are truly inspiring.”
Six awards were today conferred in the categories of Dedication, Working Together, Excellence, Ownership and Achievement. Three QPS officers were named winners for the Achievement, Dedication and Working Together award categories.
