Cops and Robbers park run, Saturday October 14

Come join in at your local Cops and Robbers park run Saturday 14 October, 2017.
The morning will help build community relationships and highlight police health and wellness.
Parkrun starts at 7am on Saturday, and usually takes no more than an hour to complete the 5 kilometers even for those who are a little less fit.
The park run is open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.
These events take place in pleasant parkland surroundings and people of every ability are encouraged to take part. From walkers or those taking their first steps in running to Olympians.
Local Acting Senior Sergeant Kelly Bright attends parkrun every Saturday.

The park runners love a dress up and if they choose to! Individual park runners can wear light-hearted themed robber outfits (think Hamburgler).

Update: Serious traffic incident, Bowen Hills

A 58-year-old man is currently assisting police with their inquiries into an alleged hit and run traffic incident in Bowen Hills overnight.
Around 1am police were called to the intersection of Hamilton Place and Campbell Street after a woman was found on the roadway with significant injuries.
The 27-year-old woman was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where she underwent emergency surgery this morning and remains in a critical condition.
After reviewing CCTV in the area, investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit believe the woman was struck by a heavy vehicle (pictured).
They are appealing for anyone who may have seen the distinctive vehicle or has dash cam footage in the Bowen Hills area overnight to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.

Serious traffic incident, Windsor

A man has been hit by a vehicle in Windsor.
Just before 7.10pm, a man was crossing Bowen Street when he was hit by a sports/suburban utility vehicle (SUV).
The man, believed to be in his 60s or 70s, has been transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
