Update: Armed robbery, Aspley

Police have charged a man following the alleged armed robbery of a woman at Aspley this afternoon.
It will be alleged around 12.15pm a man approached the woman who was seated in a vehicle at a shopping centre carpark at the corner of Gayford Street and Albany Creek Road.
The man produced a small knife and demanded the woman hand over her handbag. When the woman refused, the man pulled the woman from the vehicle taking her handbag and running from the scene on foot.
The 66-year-old woman received non-life-threatening injuries to her face and left arm and was transported to hospital for treatment.
Police located a man matching the description provided by the woman on Gympie Road a short time later.  Subsequently police were able to recover the woman’s hand bag.
It will be further alleged a man entered a sports club in Kirby Road Aspley on June 12 and threatened a staff member

Hendra CIB find an Aladdin’s cave of stolen goods

On July 7, Hendra Criminal Investigation Branch executed a search warrant at an address in Windsor. At this address an Aladdin’s cave of suspected stolen property was located.
The property was returned to Hendra Station where detectives trawled through the property and identified numerous break and enters in the Windsor and Lutwyche area.
The offenders had allegedly targeted open or unlocked garages. Found property included bikes, skateboards, camping equipment, sporting equipment and various tools.
Thankfully, due to the detailed descriptions provided by owners, most property has been identified and returned to them.
Three persons have been charged with numerous offences including alleged break and enters and alleged possess property suspected stolen.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of an elderly woman at Aspley this afternoon.
Around 12.15pm a man approached the woman who was seated in a vehicle at a shopping centre carpark at the corner of Gayford Street and Albany Creek Road.
The man produced a small knife and demanded the woman hand over her handbag. When the woman refused, the man pulled the woman from the vehicle taking her handbag and running from the scene on foot.
The woman received non-life-threatening injuries to her face and left arm and was transported to the Prince Charles Hospital for treatment.
A man is currently assisting detectives with their inquiries.
