Detectives from the North Brisbane District Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested and charged a number of people in relation to alleged property and vehicle offences in the past 24 hours.
A 42-year-old Keperra woman has been charged with unlawfully entering a premises and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The woman is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrate Courts on February 19.
We want to remind residents of their responsibilities to lock and secure their homes, vehicles and property.
This includes securing vehicle keys in an out of sight location, even when you are home.

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on Ipswich Road this afternoon.
Just after 3pm, a white Nissan Navara and red Mitsubishi Lancer were allegedly driving dangerously along Ipswich Road.
The drivers of both vehicles became involved in a physical altercation at the intersection of Ipswich Road and Stanley Street a short time later.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have dashcam footage or witnessed the incident to contact police.

Police are seeking the assistance of the public in the look out for numerous allegedly stolen motorcycles in the North Brisbane area (pictured below).

If you have seen any of the above motorbikes, you are encouraged to report it to police.
In the past month, there has been an increase in the number of motorcycles stolen within the North Brisbane area.
Police are reminding all motorcycle owners to be vigilant at all times with the locking and securing of their bikes, as it appears the majority of bikes are being “lifted” and transported on the back of a trailer or truck, and possibly being re-identified.
There are a number of things motorcycle owners can do to reduce the risk of having your motorcycle stolen:

Park your motorbike inside a locked garage
Secure an anchor bolt to the ground and lock your bike in each time you park
Use a strong, thick chain and lock. Keep the chain

On the evening of January 20, Sandgate Police were alerted to attend a business in Bald Hills after receiving a report of two men acting suspiciously in the area.
The police were able to locate and detain two men inside the locked and secure business.
These men were allegedly in possession of an amount of copper piping  and tools used to reportedly break into homes.

A 31-year-old Petrie man and a 34-year-old Pomona man were arrested and charged with enter premises and commit indictable offence.
The men will be appearing in Sandgate Magistrates Court on January 21.
Police would like to take the opportunity to advise members of the community these specific security measures related to businesses:

Display your business name and address at the front of your premises to help emergency services locate your property quickly.
Place warning signs or stickers around your business to deter intruders, for example, no cash

Moreton detectives investigating an armed robbery at Redcliffe in which a car was stolen from a carpark at knifepoint, and the attempted theft of a parked car shortly before, have released CCTV.
Around 8.15pm on Monday, January 6 a woman driving a blue sedan pulled over to the side of the road in Landsborough Avenue, Scarborough. A vehicle following behind her stops and a man exits the vehicle and approaches the driver’s side door of the blue sedan.
He attempts to open the locked driver’s door and runs back to his vehicle, which has now driven past the parked blue sedan, jumping back into the passenger seat and the vehicle speeds off.

Police have arrested and charged a man following the alleged assault of a man during an attempted robbery at a Bracken Ridge service station overnight.
It will be alleged a man entered the Telegraph Road business around 00.35am this morning (January 16) and demanded money before climbing over the counter and assaulting a 23-year-old male employee.
Police will allege the employee was punched several times to the head before being knocked to the ground, where a violent struggle took place, with the man being kicked several times before he managed to break free and run from the store.
The offender fled empty handed.
Shortly after 3am the man contacted police and handed himself in.
A 21-year-old Bracken Ridge man has been charged with attempted armed robbery using actual violence, enter with intent to commit an indictable offence and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.
He has been denied police bail and is due to appear

There has been an increase in reported motorcycle thefts across the northern suburbs of Brisbane over the past two months.
Make sure your motorcycle is secured and stored in a safe place
Motorcycles are being stolen overnight from areas with easy access such as carports and underground carparks.
Some of these offences have been committed by simply lifting the motorcycle onto ute trays or into trucks or vans.
There are a number of things you can do to reduce the risk of having your motorcycle stolen:

Park your motorbike inside a locked garage
Secure an anchor bolt to the ground and lock your bike in each time you park
Use a strong, thick chain and lock. Keep the chain off the ground to make it harder to cut.
Secure your motorcycle to something solid that can’t be moved.
Install an alarmed disc lock – this will stop the wheel from turning and make a noise to alert witnesses

Police from Hendra Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested and charged a 35-year-old man of no fixed abode with eight property-related offences, including stealing and unlawfully entering a premises.
Police were called to reports of a house being broken into on Dwyer Street, Nundah and located the man nearby.
The man allegedly attempted to flee police but was caught after a quick foot chase.
Police will allege at the time of his arrest, he was in possession of property, including three tyres, stolen from a carpark in Nundah.
The man is set to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 14.
Investigations are also continuing into other similar offences in the Nundah area.
Police are reminding residents to be vigilant of building and vehicle security in multi-residential complexes.
This includes vehicles that are parked in large underground garages as they need to be locked upon departure with all valuables removed.

Detectives from the North Brisbane District have charged several people in relation to property, dwelling and business offences which have occurred across the North Brisbane area in the past few weeks.
A 22-year-old Ningi man has been charged with more than 40 offences including alleged break and enter to homes and businesses across the district, particularly in the suburbs of Nundah, Ascot and Clayfield.
As a result of this arrest, police have recovered stolen property items including jewellery, electrical items, gaming equipment and a poker set.
The man will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 20.
Detectives are now focusing investigations toward a number of suspects identified for recent property offences involving car parks and garages in the Nundah area.
Some of the crimes reported to police have been opportunistic in nature, meaning the offenders have entered through open or unlocked doors. This is particularly the case in multi-residential car park facilities.

Two men and a woman have been arrested following the alleged robbery of a Wacol service station this morning.
Shortly before 2.30am, a male employee was in the rear of the Boundary Road business when they heard glass smashing and observed two men force entry.
Once inside they jumped the counter and stole a number of cigarette packets and ice creams from a freezer nearby before fleeing in a black coloured Mercedes sedan.
The attendant was able to lock themselves in a room at the rear of the premises.
A short time later officers were patrolling the Ipswich Motorway and observed the vehicle travelling west.
The sedan was later found abandoned in Leslie Street, East Ipswich.
Dog Squad officers tracked the occupants to an address at Farr Street where two men and a woman were arrested.
Investigations indicate the same vehicle was used during the alleged robbery of a bakery on Staplyton Road at Heathwood yesterday morning.
