Man charged – fuel drive offs, Brisbane

Detectives have charged a man in relation to a number of alleged fuel drive offs committed in the Brisbane area in the past few weeks.
It will be alleged that on four separate occasions, the man has driven a ute to service stations in Rocklea, Deagon, Durack and Blacksoil and filled drums with fuel.
It is further alleged the man entered the service stations and claimed to have left his wallet in the vehicle before returning to the ute and driving off without paying.
Police located the 40-year-old Pioneers Rest man today in Maryborough where he was arrested and charged with five counts of stealing and one count of possessing property suspected of being stolen.
The man is due to appear in the Maryborough Magistrates Court on May 15.

Murder charges, Paddington

Detectives have charged a woman following a fatal stabbing incident that occurred yesterday evening at Paddington.
It will be alleged at about 10pm at an address in Kennedy Terrace, a disturbance occurred between a woman and a number of the residents at that location. Four men received stab wounds as a result of the altercation.
It is further alleged a second stabbing incident occurred a short time later involving the same woman and another man at Woolcock Park Ashgrove. The man received a small wound to his stomach.
Police located and arrested the 39-year-old woman at Woolcock Park a short time later.
Two men from Kennedy Terrace were transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the other two men transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment of their injuries. One of those men is now deceased.
The remaining victims all have non-life-threatening injuries.
