Armed robbery charge, Everton Park

Police have charged a 27-year-old man following the armed robbery of a convenience store in Everton Park early this morning.
It will be alleged that around 2.25am, a man armed with a meat cleaver entered the business located on South Pine Road and threatened the store attendant, making demands for cash and cigarettes.
It is further alleged the man fled the store with a sum of cash and cigarettes.
Police attended and the dog squad led them to the garden of a nearby address on Stafford Road. A man was located in the garden and was arrested without incident.
A 27-year-old Everton Park man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on May 15.

Update: Multiple burglaries, Brisbane region

Detectives have charged two men following investigations into a series of burglaries at homes and businesses across Brisbane over the past month.
Police will allege the two men targeted residences and businesses in Wakerley, Carina, Coorparoo, Virginia, Tingalpa, Wilston, Windsor, Alexandra Hills, Lawnton, Mango Hill, Nudgee, McDowell, Nundah, Everton Hills, Albany Creek, Toowong and Capalaba.
It will be further alleged the pair stole several vehicles during the burglaries and were then involved in numerous fuel drive-off offences.
As a result of investigations police allege the two men were seen in a stolen vehicle last night in Stafford.
Polair tracked the vehicle as it was allegedly driven dangerously around the Stafford area.
The pair were taken into custody around 11.30pm by police in Malwood Street after abandoning he vehicle.
