Boondall Police Station: looking after the environment and officers mental health

Boondall Police Station officers with the stations collection!
Since the Queensland ‘Containers for Change’ scheme commenced in November 2018, Boondall Police Station have been collecting the stations plastic drink containers, bottles and aluminium cans. Being a 24 hour station that amounts to a quite a few!
The Office In Charge (OIC) of Boondall Station Senior Sergeant Damien Houston has chosen to donate all funds raised as part of this ongoing collection to Blue Hope.
Blue Hope was created to provide support to current and former Police Officers, and their families, who are suffering with mental health issues.
Blue Hope is independent to all law enforcement agencies and seeks to support all police, but especially those who are after an alternative to internal support.
Blue Hope aims to fill the void, offering anonymous, professional and personal support, all coordinated by men and women who bleed blue.
A big thank you to Detective Senior Sergeant Andrew Ayres from the North Brisbane CIB for collecting

Spread the love
