Robbery with violence, Clayfield

Police are investigating a robbery incident that occurred in Clayfield this evening (January 10).
At about 8.30pm, a man entered a retail premises on Sandgate Road and attempted to leave the store with a bottle of juice without paying for the item.
When the male staff member confronted the man, the offender punched the staff member to the head numerous times before fleeing the scene on foot.
The staff member received minor injuries as a result of the incident.
Investigations are continuing.

Update – Armed robbery, Aspley

Police investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Aspley on December 28 are appealing to members of the public to help locate a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
At 12.50am, a man armed with a knife entered the Gympie Road business and demanded money from a staff member.
The man left the scene on foot with a sum of cash and was last seen heading north on Gympie Road.
No-one was physically injured.
The man is described as Caucasian, aged between 25 and 30 years, 185cm tall with a solid build, short black hair, and was wearing a black and white Adidas hooded-jumper, black Adidas shorts, white sandshoes and tattoos on both lower legs.
Police are appealing to any members of the public who may know the whereabouts of the man pictured who police believe may be able to assist them with their inquiries to contact police.

Robbery with violence, Zillmere

Police are investigating a violent robbery which occurred at Zillmere this evening (January 7).
At about 8.40pm, the male occupant of a dwelling on Church Road disturbed two juvenile male offenders in his garage.
The two boys ran from the scene, however when the man gave chase, one of the boys struck the man in the face with a fence paling.
The two boys fled the scene on foot.
The man received treatment for his injuries at the scene.
Investigations are continuing.

Update: Evade police, Maryborough

Police are continuing to search for two men who were involved in a number of incidents yesterday afternoon including an attempted carjacking in Sunnybank Hills, evading police and a car crash and theft of another car in Maryborough.
Following the theft of the car from Caringa Street, Maryborough, the two men were seen in the stolen Kia sedan heading northbound near Howard at 3.45pm.
Around 6.15pm yesterday evening, one of the men entered a residential garage at Waterview Drive, Dundowran Beach, and stole a white Mazda 6 sedan.
The man drove the vehicle approximately 200 meters along Waterview Drive and collected the second male person before driving away from the scene.
The Mazda 6 was last seen at about 8.20pm yesterday evening heading south on the Bruce Highway near Tiaro.
Police are appealing to members of the public who witnessed these incidents or who may have relevant dash cam footage to contact police.

Shots fired, Kallangur

Detectives are appealing for public assistance with their investigation after shots were fired into a vehicle at Kallangur last night.
Initial investigations indicate shortly before 9pm, a firearm was discharged into the side of a Holden Rodeo dual-cab ute on Anzac Avenue causing damage to the front passenger side door.
The driver and sole occupant of the ute, a 22-year-old man, was not injured.
The firearm was discharged from what is believed to be a silver Holden Commodore / Calais before the driver accelerated at speed along Dohles Rocks Road.
He is described as Caucasian, approximately 25- to 30-years-old with a sleeve tattoo on his right arm.
Any members of the public or motorists who may have been travelling in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or heard a loud noise, is urged to contact police.

Robbery with violence, Strathpine

Detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at Strathpine this evening.
Initial investigations indicate at about 6.45pm, a pizza delivery rider travelling on an electric bicycle along Gympie Road has been approached by three men.
One of the men punched the 16-year-old in the face causing him to fall off the bicycle.
The victim’s backpack containing a wallet and money was taken by the trio who fled the area on foot.
The victim suffered minor bruising to the face as a result of the assault.
Investigations are continuing.

Armed robbery charges, West End, Brisbane

Police have charged two men following investigations of four separate armed robberies that occurred last night in West End, Brisbane.
At around 7pm, a 31-year-old man was approaching the intersection of Montague Road and Mollison Street when he was allegedly stopped by two men threatening him with a knife and demanded his mobile phone, which he refused and walked away.
At around 7:15pm, a 22-year-old man was waiting at a bus stop on Montague Road when he was allegedly approached by two men who threatened the man with a knife and demanded his mobile phone. He has complied and then fled towards Victoria Street.
At around 7:30pm, a 34-year-old man was walking along Montague Road when he was allegedly approached by two men who threatened him with a knife and demanded his mobile phone. He has complied and fled.

Shooting incident, Strathpine

Detectives are investigating the circumstance surrounding a 27-year-old man who presented himself to a Strathpine medical centre this afternoon with a suspected gunshot wound to his left leg and groin.
Initial investigations indicate the victim was driven to the medical centre by two men known to him.
The man remains in a stable condition at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Any members of the public or motorists who may have been travelling in the area around Gympie Road, Strathpine at the time is urged to contact police.
Detectives are also interested in anyone who was in the vicinity of the carpark off 130 Gympie Road between 2.30pm and 4pm with relevant dash cam footage.
Investigations are continuing. There is no further information available at this time.

Robbery, Chermside

Police are investigating following the robbery of a convenience store in Chermside overnight.
At around 10pm a man entered the business on Gympie Road, threatening a female staff member and demanding money.
The staff member complied with the man’s demands, handing over a sum of cash, before the man fled the business on foot.
No one was physically injured during the robbery.
The man is described as approximately 175cms tall, is of a solid build and was wearing a covering over his face.
He was last seen running north along Gympie Road, in the direction of Henry Street.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who was travelling along Gympie Road, in the vicinity of Henry Street, just before 10pm who have dash cam vision to contact police.
