A motorcyclist has been detected allegedly travelling almost 200km/hour on the Bruce Highway on day 1 of the Easter Break phase for the Queensland Police Service’s Road Safety Campaign.
The motorcycle was snapped yesterday by a speed camera on the Bruce Highway at Landsborough doing 193km/hour in a 110 zone.
There were more than 3,400 vehicles detected speeding and over 11,000 RBTs (Random Breath Tests) performed with 41 people charged with drink driving.
A 22-year-old Sunset man was charged after allegedly returning a BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentrate) of .273% in the carpark of a fast food outlet at Mount Isa just before midnight.
Police also attended two serious traffic crashes, one at Peak Crossing around 5.50pm where a ute and truck collided on Warrill View Peak Crossing Road.
The 18-year-old male driver of the ute was airlifted in a critical condition to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Police have released an image of a green Mitsubishi Verada which was involved in a burglary at Anstead and a petrol drive off in Goodna yesterday.
At around 10am, police believe the offender drove to a Hawkesbury Road property in Anstead in a dark green late 90s Verada with distinctive fading on the bonnet, roof and boot.
The garage on the premises was broken into and two sets of car keys and multiple tools were stolen.
The car is also linked to a fuel drive off at a petrol station on Railway Terrace in Goodna later in the day.
The green Verada sedan (pictured) is fitted with a sunroof, and has been fitted with false and possibly counterfeit license plates 063LQM, 824SZF.
Police would also like to speak to the man in the image as he may be able to assist with their investigation.

Police will be out in force right across Queensland’s expansive road network today as part of a high-visibility safety blitz ahead of Easter.
Road Policing Command Assistant Commissioner Mike Keating said today’s high-visibility operation was designed to send a strong message to road users.
“The Thursday before Easter – particularly the afternoon – is one of the busiest periods on our roads,” Assistant Commissioner Keating said.
“It’s a time when people spend many hours behind the wheel to get to their holiday destination – so with more people on the roads, travelling longer distances, unfortunately the risk of a serious crashes increases.
“That’s why we will be staging officers from the Road Policing Command in high-risk areas across the state – including major highways.
“Our officers will out there actively enforcing the speed limit, conducting breath tests and checking licences.
“Anyone travelling on the state’s highways today can expect to see police. We know from our

Detectives from the Ferny Grove Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man after a series of alleged sexual assaults in Everton Park during March and earlier this month.
A 39-year-old Everton Park man has been charged with three counts of sexual assault, and one count each of attempted indecent treatment of a child under 16 and wilful exposure.
The arrest follows an appeal for public assistance following investigations into the alleged linked assaults on women that have taken place in Everton Park with the first occurring on March 28 and the latest on April 11.
The 39-year-old man is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
Detectives are encouraging anyone else who may have been a witness to or victim of a similar incident in the Everton Park area to report the matter to police.

Acting Assistant Commissioner Brent Carter presented medals, clasps and certificates in an awards ceremony held last week in Gaythorne.
A total of 52 awards were presented in recognition of officers and staff members continued dedication and commitment to policing and service in the Queensland community.
Thirteen officers were presented with the National Police Service Medal, a medal which represents their past and future commitment to ethical and diligent service. A minimum of 15 years’ service is required in order to qualify for this award.
The National Medal and Clasps were presented to nine recipients, these medals are presented in recognition of their long service and clasps are then presented to officers who have completed a further 10 years of service.
The Queensland Police Service Medal is presented to member of the QPS to recognise their diligent and ethical service contributions. This award requires recipients to have completed ten years of full-time qualifying service and was

As part of Operation Oscar Mantic, detectives investigating the suspected murder of Wayne Youngkin in 1986 are today conducting a search of wetlands at Sandgate.
Mr Youngkin’s remains were discovered on November 29 last year in a disused tank in the yard of a North Street home in Brighton.
Water Police will search the wetlands in the hope of locating items associated with Mr Youngkin that may assist detectives with their ongoing investigation.
Since the operation commenced, police have received a steady flow of information through Crime Stoppers which has assisted to progress the investigation.
Police are continuing to urge people who may have additional information which could assist with the investigation to come forward.

Police are appealing for public assistance after a 19-year-old woman was assaulted in Everton Park this morning.
Around 7.40am, the woman was walking on a footpath on South Pine Road between Halle Street and Nitawill Street when she noticed a man walking towards her.
The man grabbed the woman by her shorts, causing the woman to scream. A passing motorist in a white utility stopped and asked if the woman was okay, at which time the offender fled the scene on foot.
The man is described as Caucasian, aged in his early 30s, approximately 185cm tall with a large build and blonde hair.
He was wearing beige shorts and a collared polo shirt with a grey, blue and red pinstripe pattern.
Police are appealing for assistance to identify the man fitting the description and are appealing for anyone who may have dash cam vision of the area to please contact them.

Police investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store at Dakabin overnight have released images of two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
Around 6.30pm, two men entered the shop on Whitehorse Road and approached the counter.
One of the men produced a knife and demanded cash from two female attendants.
The attendants opened the till, and the men took a sum of cash as well as cigarettes before fleeing the scene on foot. They were last seen heading towards Marsden Road.
One man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 183cm tall with a medium build, aged in his 20s and was wearing a black long sleeved t-shirt, blue jeans, white runners and had a white shirt wrapped around his head and face.
The second man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 183cm tall with a solid build, aged in his 20s and was wearing a grey hooded jumper,
