Stafford Police conduct regular patrols within the division to ensure our communities stay safe, and yesterday Stafford Police were out in force in the suburbs of Gordon Park and Lutwyche.
Stafford Police regularly conduct patrols in around the Kedron Brook bikeway which meanders through neighbouring police divisions and yesterday were also joined by local Ferny Grove Officers and Road Policing Command.
Along, with the traditional police patrols in the car, the officers added other methods of patrolling to the mix with officers on foot, riding bicycles, trail bikes and even utilising the very handy All-Terrain Vehicle along the bike way.

Officers were able to speak with many local residents and workers who use the Kedron Brook bike way every day to get to work or for fitness.

Coffee with a Cop, Ascot
Today, we held a Coffee with a Cop event at Leo’s IGA.
It was an excellent opportunity to chat with local residents and business operators over a great cup of coffee.
Thanks to Councillor David McLachlan for popping in to chat with locals as well.
Coffee with a Cop events happen monthly in the Hendra Division and provide community members the chance to meet their local police officers and ask any questions that they might have for us.
Issues discussed today included road safety concerns, home security tips and advice in relation to schoolie’s preparations!
Our next Coffee with a Cop event will be at 9.30am on Wednesday, November 27, and this time we are heading to Nundah!

Update: Fatal traffic crash, Bald Hills
Two people have died in a two-vehicle traffic crash at Bald Hills overnight.
Preliminary inquiries indicate a Mitsubishi 4WD which was stolen from Chamberlain Street, Toowoomba on October 14 was sighted by police on Lutwyche Road, Windsor at 11.50pm. Police requested the vehicle pull over, however it evaded police and fled at speed.
This vehicle continued north on Gympie Road in the south bound lane where it collided with another vehicle travelling south.
The 36-year-old male driver of the second vehicle and the 32-year-old male front seat passenger in the first vehicle were declared deceased at the scene. The 28-year-old male driver and the 32-year-old rear passenger of the first vehicle were both transported to hospital.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the crash and are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage to contact them.

Fatal traffic crash, Bald Hills
Two people have died in a traffic crash at Bald Hills overnight.
Preliminary inquiries indicate around midnight a stolen car was headed north in the southbound lanes of the Gympie Arterial Road when it has collided with a car headed south.
A person in each car died at the scene.
Southbound lanes remain closed whilst Forensic Crash Unit officers investigate the crash. All southbound traffic is been diverted onto the Gateway Motorway.

North Brisbane Police celebrate Diwali at Banyo
On Saturday, October 12, Police from North Brisbane joined with the Banyo District Community Group to celebrate Diwali.
Diwali is the Indian festival of Lights and is celebrated annually with the greater community of Banyo and surrounding suburbs. Diwali marks the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.
And although the rain was heavy and hard for the whole morning, for the afternoon event the sun came out and 100’s of locals got to enjoy the many colourful performances, delicious food, and cultural performances.
The marked police car, and dress up police uniforms are always a draw card for the children, and it’s great to have the opportunity to engage with the community , talk about the role of police.
Police from North Brisbane were especially proud to have their own Police Liaison Officer (PLO), Aman Sharman, give a presentation at the event on her journey as a migrant arriving in Australia
Endangering motorists, Kenmore
Police were called to a disturbance at Moggill Road, Kenmore this afternoon.
At about 4:50pm, police responded to reports of a man throwing rocks onto passing cars.
Witnesses stated they saw the man throw a large rock onto the traffic travelling outbound on Moggill Road.
Police are appealing for motorists who were driving in the area and may have received damage to their vehicle to contact police.

Shots fired, Wacol
Detectives are seeking assistance to identify two men who attempted to gain entry to a residence at Wacol overnight.
Just before 1am, two men approached the residence on Wilga Street and made a demand of the residents.
The two men have then entered the courtyard at the rear of the property and attempted to gain entry through the rear door.
The men were denied entry and fired a single shot into the door causing it to shatter.
The two residents, a 33-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, were not physically injured.
Investigators are appealing for anyone with further information or anyone in the area with CCTV footage of the pair to contact police.

Stealing offences, North Brisbane
Between June 13 and October 8, 16 enter with intent stealing offences relating to churches have been identified within the Gateway Patrol Group.
This month, five offences have been identified in the Inner West Patrol Group, primarily in Mitchelton and Keperra.
It is likely offenders are targeting churches due to limited security and offence locations do not have CCTV footage.
Crime Prevention staff from the Gateway Patrol Group have taken steps to reach out to places of worship and offer crime prevention advice, including the following tips:
Frequently empty cash from your building, however try not to make it the same time/routine every day. Police can provide ‘No Cash Kept on Premises‘ stickers that can be displayed around your buildings;
Ensure that if you have CCTV, that it is targeted at entry/exit points at normal head height;

Coffee with a Cop, Aspley
On Sunday, October 13, police from Carseldine Police Station and the North Brisbane Crime Prevention office hosted a Coffee with a Cop event for the first time in the Aspley Homemaker Centre.
Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) groups form Carseldine were also in attendance.
The Coffee with a Cop initiative is a great opportunity for local community members to ask police any questions they have about issues that are important to them or happening in the area.
On this occasion, police were able to answer questions about hooning and traffic related matters in the local area.
There was also a particular interest in how police prioritise the jobs that they attend and what local NHW groups do in the area.
The North Brisbane Crime Prevention Unit have several more Coffee with a Cop events planned for October, including:
