Reminder to lock up your vehicles

Police continue to remind residents to be vigilant with the security of their vehicles as opportunistic thieves are targeting cars left unlocked, parked in driveways, secured car parks, carports and on the road.
In many cases, victims have left valuable items in the car. In the past week alone, offenders have managed to walk away with cash, credit cards, spare keys, laptops, jewellery, and wallets.
Simply parking your car in your driveway or garage is no deterrent. We need you to lock and secure your car at all times and remove all tempting items from view.
Remove valuables and lock your vehicle.
Remember – remove temptation, lock doors and close windows when your vehicle is unattended and don’t leave valuables in your vehicle.
