Charges laid following car theft and roof jumping incident

North Brisbane Police have charged two boys following an incident that allegedly occurred in the early hours of Monday morning (May 4).
Police will alleged that at about 1am, a vehicle that had been reported stolen the day before was observed by police being driven along Sandgate Road in Nundah, bearing false plates.
Police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device at Beams Road in Taigum, stopping the vehicle.
It will be further alleged that three people ran from the vehicle and entered private properties.
In response, police established a cordon and heard the youths running along the roofs of local houses.
One boy was quickly apprehended while a second boy was located nearby after being tracked by a police dog.
A 14-year-old Shorncliffe boy and a 16-year-old Chermside boy are being dealt with according to the provision of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
Investigations are continuing into the outstanding person.
