Detectives from the North Brisbane District Criminal Investigation Branch have made several significant arrests this week relating to property offences in the Clayfield and Nundah areas.
A 34-year-old Ipswich man has been arrested and charged with seven offences including breaking into homes and possessing tainted property.
He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates court on March 4.
A 42-year old Bulimba man has been arrested and charged with two burglary offences which occurred in Clayfield.
One of the homes that was allegedly broken into had CCTV in place. Images captured on the CCTV were used by detectives as part of the investigation.
The man will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on March 12.
The North Brisbane District is trialling a Community Camera Alliance program.
This is a voluntary program that allows the community to register the location of their CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) with the Queensland Police Service.
CCTV is often used in modern day policing
