Christchurch says Ngā mihi nui (huge thanks)

In April this year, officers from Boondall Station facilitated the collection of messages of condolences from the Muslim community through the Masjid Ad-Sunnah Mosque in Lutwyche, and the Masjid Taqwa Mosque in Bald Hills as well as officers and staff within Boondall Station.
These messages were put together in a specially bound book which was then sent to our neighbours across the ditch and presented to those affected by the horrific events in Christchurch on Friday March 15.
The Queensland Police Service recently received a message of thanks from the leaders of the Al Nur and Linwood Masjid Mosques as well as members from the Afghan community and Inspector Hirōne Waretini (Tuhourangi / Ngāti Awa), District Manager, Māori, Pacific and Ethnic Services.
Inspector Sweeney relayed that the Muslim community was very touched and appreciative of the heartfelt gesture.
Our thoughts remain with the members of the Christchurch Muslim community as they continue to recover
