The Aspley Outback Steakhouse today held a ‘Family Christmas’ event where families in need were treated to a relaxing lunch, entertainment and a visit from Santa Claus himself.
The event has been running for several years and is supported by local the QPS, along with other emergency services, who all enjoy having a chance to interact with the many children who attend.
Inspector Ian Park entertained the children with a skill not taught at the Police Academy – making balloon animals!
Santa presented gifts which were generously donated by local businesses and many staff from the steakhouse volunteered their time to work at the event.
