Copper pipe bust by the Sandgate Police

On the evening of January 20, Sandgate Police were alerted to attend a business in Bald Hills after receiving a report of two men acting suspiciously in the area.
The police were able to locate and detain two men inside the locked and secure business.
These men were allegedly in possession of an amount of copper piping  and tools used to reportedly break into homes.

A 31-year-old Petrie man and a 34-year-old Pomona man were arrested and charged with enter premises and commit indictable offence.
The men will be appearing in Sandgate Magistrates Court on January 21.
Police would like to take the opportunity to advise members of the community these specific security measures related to businesses:

Display your business name and address at the front of your premises to help emergency services locate your property quickly.
Place warning signs or stickers around your business to deter intruders, for example, no cash
