Dangerous driving, repeat drink driver Sunshine Coast and Brisbane

A 41-year-old Boondall man is spending the week-end in a police watch house after officers intercepted him twice yesterday allegedly drink driving and driving dangerously, on some of the South East’s major highways.
Police intercepted a vehicle on the Bruce Highway, Glasshouse Mountains around 3pm on Friday August 18, after the vehicle allegedly crossed out of its lane and travelled towards an on-coming police car.
The 41-year-old male driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported to Landsborough Police Station where he was charged with driving under the influence of liquor (UIL – 0.242 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath).
Around 8.45pm police were tasked to conduct patrols of the southbound lanes of the Bruce Highway, in the Burpengary area following reports of a vehicle allegedly swerving in and out of traffic, tailgating and driving dangerously.
