On Friday November 9, police from the Gateway Patrol Group spent a fun filled afternoon with children and their families at Earnshaw College, Banyo.
Whilst at the college, police spoke with children about recognising police in the community and how to contact them in case of an emergency.
The highlight for the kids was of course when they got to see the police car with the lights and sirens switched on, even Santa made an appearance for this, taking his place in the drivers seat!
Whilst at the college, police took the opportunity to remind parents that Christmas can be an exciting time for everyone, children especially, and that everyone needs to stay safe during the busy period. Police were able to educate those who attended about the importance of Policelink and how to contact them when you need police but it’s not an emergency.
