Police are investigating a fatal traffic incident that occurred in Kedron this morning, January 20.
Just before 7.20am, police were called to Gympie Road, between Somerset Road and Broughton Road, following reports that a woman had been struck by a car in the northbound lanes.
The pedestrian died at the scene. She has not yet been formally identified, with inquiries ongoing in relation to this.
Two northbound lanes of Gympie Road were blocked for three hours but have since reopened.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
