First Year Constables ready to serve the North Brisbane community

Yesterday, 76 new officers were sworn into the Queensland Police Service at the QPS Academy, Oxley campus.
Today, the eight First Year Constables below had their official induction into their policing career within the North Brisbane District.
For many of them, tomorrow will be their first operational shift.
Some might even be lucky enough to get their first weekend off!
The new officers include four women and four men.
They have been allocated to the following training stations:

Brisbane City
Fortitude Valley
Petrie
Indooroopilly
Hendry
Carseldine

Welcome to the North Brisbane District, Constables!
They will spend six months at their first allocated training station and will then will transfer to another station within the North Brisbane District to diversify their training.
For the first eight weeks of their probationary year of training, these officers will be ‘mentored’ by a Field Training Officer, who will ensure that they are safe whilst on the steep learning curve of putting all of their academy training into real
