Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman at Mango Hill.
At about 1pm today a Triple Zero (000) call was received alerting police to an incident at a house on Topaz Street.
Police arrived at the residence a short time later and located the body of a women in her 70s.
A male in his 40s, known to the woman, was also located at the scene and had significant injuries.
Queensland Ambulance conveyed the man to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital where he is receiving treatment.
The crime scene has been established and at this time officers are not seeking any further suspects.
