This morning, August 2, Everton Park Child Care was fortunate enough to have a visit from the police.
All the boys and girls used their best listening ears and learnt all about the role of a police officer in the community.
Constable Diana, and the other police officers, spoke to the kids about how to recognise a police officer, looking for things such as their uniform but most importantly, their badge.
The police brought with them their police car and motorbike which the kids loved taking turns sitting in the drivers seat. Police identified some soon-to-be motorbike riders from the group and also some potential future recruits.
The highlight for the kids was of course seeing the lights of the police car, but they also received a special transmission through the motorbike from the Road Policing Unit.
Police regularly visit kindergartens and child care centres to capture children at this age and begin educating them
