Kindy visit sees lots of junior police sworn in

Recently, officers from the Gateway Crime Prevention Unit visited the Early Learning Centre at McDowall to visit the boys and girls who attend the centre!
Whilst they were there, police spoke to the children about how to identify police officers in the community and all the different roles that police play in the community.
A highlight for the kids of course, was when officers were able to show off their police vehicle with the lights and sirens being met with squeals of delight!
The kids also had a great time dressing up as police officers and even had their fingerprints taken to generate their own ‘Junior Officer ID Card’!
Thank you to the staff for inviting us along and helping us to create a future where our children look to the police as a source of help in times of need. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
