Pipes and Drums performing for the kids.
The hills were alive with bag pipe music at Somerset Hills State School last week when the Queensland Police Pipes & Drums (QPP&D) visited to perform the famous Kops in Kilts program, on Wednesday September 12.
The QPP&D run a Kops in Kilts program which is tailored to suit primary school children and is very interactive with students and teachers given the opportunity to play percussion instruments.
The performance is comprised of traditional and modern pipe band music along with some children’s favourites.

Members of the QPP&D also tutor the Queensland Police Juvenile Pipes and Drums (QPJP&D), a competing pipe band, currently at grade four level.
Members range from eight to 17 years old and learn not only valuable musical skills, but also develop discipline, respect, commitment, teamwork and a sense
