On June 3 at 1.16pm, police from the Road Policing Command (RPC) were performing laser speed detection on Pritchard Road, Lytton.
Senior Constable John Bannister from RPC said he heard a motorcycle under heavy acceleration coming towards him and he observed the driver come over the top of an overpass bridge doing triple the speed limit.

As a result, a 45-year-old Coorparoo man was fined $1,218, lost eight demerit points as well as a six month licence suspension for speeding and fined $417 for failing to attach his number plate in accordance with regulation.
