This week the Queensland Police have attended a number of NAIDOC celebrations across North Brisbane.
On Thursday the annual Northside NAIDOC celebration was held at Koobara Kindy.
The event was a wonderful success with the many attendees treated to a wonderful display of arts, music and dance.
The 2017 theme of NAIDOC week – Our Languages Matter – aims to emphasise and celebrate the unique and essential role that Indigenous languages play in both cultural identity, linking people to their land and water, and in the transmission of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, spirituality and rites, through story and song.
