Nundah Farmers Markets has rescheduled its 20th anniversary celebration, with a new market layout, additional seating and free entertainment planned for its Station Street venue.
Organisers announced on 28 October that the celebration would move from 25 October to Sunday, 1 November 2026. The event will run from 6:00 a.m. until noon, alongside the market’s regular Sunday trading.
New Activities Planned For Nundah Farmers Markets
A brand-new layout is planned for the anniversary, with more shaded areas and seating throughout the market. Organisers have also announced a dedicated Puppy Zone, while face painting and balloon twisting will be among the activities offered for children.
Live music and roving entertainment are also scheduled throughout the morning. Entry will remain free, with visitors able to explore the usual selection of fresh produce, food stalls and other market offerings.
The celebration will take place at the Nundah Train Station car park, below Nundah Village. The regular Sunday market offers freshly roasted coffee and breakfast options, alongside produce from local growers and other small businesses.

Two Decades Of Markets On Station Street
Established in 2006, Nundah Farmers Markets was the original farmers market operated by Goodwill Projects, which has since expanded into managing other markets, events and venues across Queensland.
Over the past two decades, the market has operated during periods of economic and social change, including the Global Financial Crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic and more recent cost-of-living pressures. Organisers have identified support for local growers, small businesses and South-East Queensland producers as continuing priorities.

The market’s anniversary also coincides with changes across Brisbane’s inner northern suburbs. According to estimates cited by organisers, the population of Inner North Brisbane has increased from 55,964 in 2006 to approximately 210,000 in 2026. The geographical boundaries and underlying dataset used for the comparison were not identified.
Organisers have also pointed to changing shopping preferences, citing figures suggesting that 61 per cent of Australians favour seasonal produce and 55 per cent consider environmental impacts when purchasing food. The original surveys and their methodologies were not identified. Supporting regional producers and maintaining a regular trading venue for small businesses remain central to the operator’s stated plans as the market enters its third decade.
Following the anniversary celebration, Nundah Farmers Markets is scheduled to continue operating every Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with free admission. Further trading information is available through the official Nundah Farmers Markets website.
