On Sunday June 16, North Brisbane Police were proud to meet over 2,500 people and their furry friends who came out for the annual Dogs On Patrol event, held at Roy Harvey Park.
Dogs of all shapes and sizes came out for the event which was a fantastic opportunity for the Queensland Police Service (QPS), and stall holders, to engage with a very dog-friendly crowd.
During the event, the Gateway Crime Prevention Office were pleased to spread the crime prevention word and reinforce that community safety and crime prevention is everyone’s responsibility.
Joining crime prevention officers on the day, was around 20 recruits who assisted with the set up and pack down (much needed when the afternoon storm rolled in).
These eager recruits also played a vital role in Dog Squad demonstrations where a PD and their handler searched and located contraband material on the recruits – a great way for the community to
