Police and business working together for Business Safety Forum

On Tuesday, October 29, police officers conducted a Business Safety Forum at Westfield Chermside to strengthen relationships between police and local retailers.
Lots of valuable insights
The event included guest speakers from the Queensland Police Service (QPS) Security Counter Terrorism Unit who provided an overview of the current security climate in Queensland and discussed the role everyone plays in responding to security incidents.
The QPS Gateway Crime Prevention Unit discussed armed robbery awareness and prevention and business security in addition to providing proactive strategies and tips for staff.
The QPS Brisbane City Child Protection and Investigation Unit provided an overview of  Project Community Against Substance Misuse (CASM) and discussed the role retailers can have in tackling this problem.
