Police car, dogs and horses at Chermside Shopping Centre today for DFV Month

Come along to Chermside Shopping Centre today, Thursday, May 17, from 9am-8pm and meet officers from the Queensland Police Service and other government and non-government agencies for Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month.
Located outside Kmart, all are welcome to check out one of our marked police cars and come and speak to police and other agencies about Domestic and Family Violence.
At 12noon the Mounted Police Unit will be visiting to meet with the public outside the Bavarian Bier Café. Police Dogs will also be popping by for a visit in the afternoon.
At 6pm Jacque Lachmund, CEO of Australian’s CEO Challenge, will address the crowd about Domestic and Family Violence, and Lia Walsh, winner of the QPS 60 seconds Domestic Violence Competition, will perform her winning DV slam poem entry.
