Police DFV stall at Brisbane Airports

In a first combined initiative to promote DV Month, the Australian Federal Police and the Queensland Police Service set up an information area at the International Airport on Monday, May 21.
This is to be followed by Wednesday, May 23 another information area in the Domestic Terminal.
Why the Airport? Because unfortunately Airports are also where domestic and Family Violence incidents occur, more regularly then people may expect.
The purpose of the promotion is to highlight to the Community the Department of Communities domestic violence campaign asking the community to  ‘Do something’ campaign.
There are also lots of things you can do in your community and also as a bystander to help end domestic and family violence.
If you are or know someone who may be experiencing domestic and family violence then please contact DVConnect 1800 811 811, Mensline 1800 600 636, Policelink 131 444 or your local police station and in an emergency call 000.
