Police get to know the students at North Brisbane school

Over the next year, North Brisbane District Crime Prevention Coordinator Sergeant Jodie Murray will be working closely with the school community at Taigum State School.
Sergeant Murray joined the school last Friday for the leadership assembly where the Year Six leaders were given their badges. This included the School Captains and Vice Captains, as well as the Indigenous and Multicultural School Captains.

On Monday, February 24, Sergeant Murray and Police Liaison Officer (PLO) Aman attended the school and spent the afternoon talking to the three Grade One classes about the role of the QPS.
Sergeant Murray spoke to the students about how police officers keep children and the community safe, and how police keep property safe.
Sergeant Murray also talked about how to identify police officers, and the different jobs and roles that police officers have.
