North Brisbane Police will show their support of Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month by participating in a candle lighting ceremony to be hosted by the Sandgate SANDBAG organisation via Facebook Live.
This annual ceremony raises awareness of women and children impacted by domestic violence.
Due to social distancing restrictions there will be no Peaceful Walk this year, however, organisers are hosting a one-hour online conversation which will include presenters from the Queensland Police Service.
Police will join this year’s online candle lighting ceremony to acknowledge Domestic Violence Prevention Month
A candle lighting ceremony will be included as part of this event between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Thursday, May 7.
