Police visit Chermside for Orange the World

Why would the QPS have their police puppies or horses wear orange bandanas??
The Queensland Police Service and the Northside Alliance Against Domestic Violence (NAADV) have partnered to deliver an ORANGE THE WORLD EVENT at Chermside Westfield on Thursday November 29 from 9am-9pm.
The focus is raising awareness within the community of the impacts of gendered violence, and to offer information about what supports are available to people who are survivors of violence, or who currently experience violence.
November 25 symbolises the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
It marks the beginning of the United Nation’s Women’s 16 days of Activism against Gender Bad Violence (25 Nov to 10 Dec).
The theme for 2018 is, Orange the World: #HearMeToo and aims to bring to the fore the voices of women and girls from around the world who are survivors of violence.
