Queensland Women’s Week Profiles: Meet Inspector Lynne Asher

North Brisbane Police are celebrating Queensland Women’s Week by profiling some of our strong, diverse women in policing from across the district.
Our third female in focus for the week is Inspector Lynne Asher. Inspector Asher is the Patrol Inspector for South Gateway Patrol Group, North Brisbane District.
Inspector Asher has been with the QPS for 24 years
Can you tell us about what your current job role is in the QPS, and a summary of your career?
I joined the Queensland Police in 1996 at the age of 28 after studying to be a teacher.
I have worked in a range of roles both operational and non-operational over the past 24 years including General Duties, Police Prosecutions, facilitation roles at the QPSA, working in Internal Investigations, District Duty Officer, Regional Duty Officer, and now Patrol Inspector of the South Gateway Patrol Group.
