Police have charged a man following an alleged robbery in Brendale earlier this morning.
It will be alleged at 12.15am a 33-year-old Upper Coomera man approached a 20-year-old man at a car wash on Kremzow Road and demanded cash.
It is further alleged that when the man refused and entered his vehicle, the 33-year-old man entered the front passenger seat and assaulted the driver before taking his mobile phone and causing damage to the vehicle and the mobile phone.
Police located the man a short distance away from the carwash where he was arrested.
The man is charged with one count each of robbery, enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence and two counts of wilful damage.
He is due to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on July 17.
