Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted at his Nundah house this morning and had his car stolen.
The 55-year-old man was asleep around 4.45am at his Oxford Street residence when he has heard a noise downstairs.
The man went outside when he observed a man, who is not known to him, come out of the lower level his house. The resident grabbed the man’s shirt to stop him however the other man has punched him multiple times in the face. A second man then put what is believed to be a knife to the resident’s neck and told him to let go.
The two men then fled in the resident’s silver 2001 Mazda 323 hatchback with Queensland registration 132GAD which was parked on the street in front of his house. The men had stolen personal items and keys for the car from the house.
Both men are described as 178cm
