Northside residents will have an opportunity to meet with local police and have free anti-theft screws fitted to their number plates.
Having number plates stolen is an inconvenience and expense that people don’t need.
Offenders who steal number plates often go on to use them to conceal their identity while committing further offences, from toll evasion to armed robberies.
You can help police by making sure your plates are as secure as possible.
Police and Neighbourhood Watch volunteers will be on hand to fit the screws and discuss motor vehicle security.
