Detectives investigating the alleged sexual assault of two women in separate incidents this month have charged a man claiming to be a ride-sharing service driver.
As a result of a joint investigation detectives from the Carseldine Criminal Investigation Branch executed a search warrant at an address in Carindale yesterday where a 41-year-old man was arrested.
It will be alleged the man sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman on Saturday, September 8 and a 25-year-old woman on Sunday, September 16.
It will be further alleged the man collected the women from the Fortitude Valley area, whilst posing as a driver for a ride sharing app, and sexually assaulted them whilst transporting them home.
The 41-year-old man has been charged with four counts of sexual assault and one count of deprivation of liberty.
He is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.
Investigations at this stage do not reveal any link between the man and
