Sisters Stepping Forward: Celebrating International Women’s Day at the Bald Hills mosque

International Women’s Day (Sunday, March 8) was the perfect day to celebrate the finalevent of a 12 month project initiated by North Brisbane Crime Prevention Office called Sisters Stepping Forward.
Thanks for joining us to celebrate International Women’s Day and the Sisters Stepping Forward project
The goal of the project is to bridge the gap, establish strong relationships, enhance awareness and share knowledge between Muslim women, Queensland Police Service (the QPS) and the wider community.
On Sunday, the CEO of Islamic Women’s Association of Australia (IWAA) Galilia Abdelsalam, numerous QPS members and Volunteers in Policing (VIPs) from North Brisbane and the wonderful sisters from both the Bald Hills mosque and the Lutwyche mosques, all join together to celebrate International Women’s Day.
