Police have released two images of a woman who may be able to assist with an investigation after a man’s wallet was stolen at Stafford on February 26.
At 9.30am, a 67-year-old man boarded a bus at Fortitude Valley and received assistance from a woman who is known to him.
The pair exited the bus at a Stafford Road shopping centre in Stafford at 10am.
The woman and the man hugged, and it was at this time that the man’s wallet was removed which contained a sum of cash, a debit card and his Medicare card.
The woman was last seen leaving in a taxi.
She is described as being Aboriginal in appearance, with a thin build, short dark hair with specks of grey, aged between 45 to 50 years, and was wearing long black pants and a black T-Shirt, and a fluorescent orange hat.
Police are encouraging anyone who recognises the woman or who knows
