The community festival season has begun

QPS representatives at the Nundah Festival
Yesterday, police from the Gateway Patrol Group, along with the Hendra Neighbourhood Watch Group, and Volunteer In Policing (ViP) Jan,  attended the annual Nundah Festival.
This event seems to grow in popularity and numbers every year.
It is a great opportunity for police to engage with the community and enhance awareness of crime prevention strategies to keep community members and their property safe.

It was great to have so many parents and guardians bring their little one’s up to police to say hi as it gave us the opportunity to explain to them what to do if they get lost or felt unsafe, and gave them some tips on how to identify a police officer.
Police will also be setting up their Mobile Police Community Bus at the Zillmere Multicultural Festival this weekend.
We hope to see you there!
When: Saturday, September 14
