Police are appealing for public assistance as they continue to investigate a traffic crash in Ascot yesterday.
Initial information suggests between 7.50pm and 8.10pm, a white vehicle turned right from Sandgate Road into Riverton Street and hit a moped, dislodging the rider.
The driver of the white car left the scene and travelled along Riverton Street towards Bellevue Terrace in Clayfield.
The moped rider, a 28-year-old Clayfield man, was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, residents who may have CCTV footage, and any motorists with dash cam footage of Riverton Street to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
