Update 1: Appeal for witnesses and dash cam – Acts intended to cause GBH charge, Gympie

Gympie detectives are appealing for witnesses and motorists with dash cam vision following an altercation on the Bruce Highway at Gympie on Sunday afternoon.
It will be alleged that around 2.45pm, a white utility was stopped at a red traffic light at the intersection with Monkland Street when a silver hatch back pulled up following an earlier incident.
An altercation occurred where a 31-year-old Amarmoor man sustained serious stab wounds and remains in a critical condition.
Investigators are appealing for anyone travelling southbound along the Bruce Highway and on Monkland Street, who may have witnessed the altercation, to come forward and speak to police.
Police would like to speak to the driver of a white Pantech truck (possibly a horse transporter) that was travelling southbound on the highway at approximately 2:29pm.
The truck is seen stopping at the intersection and turning right into Monkland Street towards Southside.
