Detectives from the Gateway Child Protection and Investigation Unit investigating the serious assault of a 16-year-old girl at Chermside West this afternoon have released a comfit image of a man who may be able to assist police with their investigations.
Around 12.15pm a 16-year-old girl was grabbed by a man and dragged into bushes as she was walking down Kittabilla Street, near the intersection with Craigslea Street.
The girl struggled and managed to break free.
The man- who is described as Caucasian, aged possibly in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 185cms tall with a proportionate build and stubble on his face – was last seen running down Buran Street.
He was wearing a black baseball cap, black framed sunglasses with orange reflector lenses, a white t-shirt and black baseball short.
As per the media release issued earlier this evening (copied below) police continue to appeal for public assistance.
